Recognize this?

2009.07.20

That’s right, the Blue Angels.  This past weekend, I went with Felyne to see the Thunder Over Michigan airshow.  IT.WAS.AMAZING.  I had an absolute blast!  Not only did I see (and meet/shake hands with) the Blue Angels, I also got to see a Lancaster fly!  One of only TWO in the world that still fly.  Let me tell you, she was amazing to see in flight!

There was everything at this show, from WWII bombers and fighters, to modern day aircraft, including the stealth bomber.

It’s the first time I’ve seen a jet this close, and not been able to hear it.  AMAZING.

I had SUCH an amazing time.  And, I had the best hostess ever. Felyne knew all about the planes, and was *SUPER* geeked about the Lancaster  (I’ll admit, I grew to love the lancaster).  I have a few photos posted on my gallery (link is below the images below).

I must admit though, the best part of the whole weekend, was seeing my girl.  I can’t wait to see her again, and I wish the weekends we have together, would last an eternity.  She made the whole weekend amazing.

There will be more photos to follow, as soon as I’m able to get them all edited.  Overall, I took 1,189 photos this weekend, so, it’s going to take a while to sort them all out ;)

First sign of spring!

2009.03.24

No photos, sorry… But, I saw the first official sign of spring today. Nevermind the fact that we are supposed to have sub freezing temps still… When I came flying into work this morning, and whipping around the corner on the side of the building, I had to slam on my brakes. Why you ask? *Waits for everyone to say “Why is that Taubin?”* I’m glad you asked. There, walking across the parking lot on the side of the building, were two ducks! One wood duck, and one mallard duck. I of course didn’t have my camera on me, seeings that I was coming to work and all, but, I do have a photo of what they would have looked like had they been in water instead of on land…

That’s right, that’s exactly how they would have looked!  Precisely!  So, there you have it, the first signs of spring, I’m excited!

And, since I have been accused of “grabbing a stock photo off Google Image search” for the above photo, I feel the need to defend myself, and the photo.  If you have me on flickr, as a friend of family, you can see the exif here:

DUCK!!!

2008.11.29

Ok, so, there’s two of them, and it should be ducks with an s, but, “DUCK!!!” sounds allot better ;)

Anyways, we took Soliel out to the riverwalk today, and this is my favorite photo from the set.  Just wanted to share it with everyone =)

I need to take photos…

2008.09.09

I was thinking, on the way to work tonight, I really need to get out and take more photos.  I haven’t done that in a while.  I mean, I did take photos at ren fest, but, I didn’t go there *to* take photos.  I need to get out, I need to do something.

Everytime I walk downstairs at home, it feels so empty.  I keep looking for Lulu and Bozo, and they aren’t there.  It sucks.  I don’t want to ‘forget’ because I will never forget.  But, I also can’t wallow in it.  I just don’t know what to do with myself right now.  I’m at work, and I can’t concentrate, no matter how much I try to.
